The Crown Affair

With its central London location, eclectic feel, fine food and exceptional service, The Crown and Sceptre is a great venue for all your events whether it be a cocktail party, a meeting, a private dinner with friends or a post Olympia Exhibition event. We have a number of spaces perfect for a party, business lunch or just good old fashioned knees-up, and we can cater any event to your needs, from a requested menu choice from our head chef, to a room to spend the night in to sleep off the festivities, all a stones through from station for the last train home.


In an intimate setting in the back of the pub, raised above the rest of the rabble with a dedicated member of staff waiting on all the all-important re-stock of food and drink, the Mezzanine is the perfect setting for a sit down meal or canapé party. Many a fine evening has been enjoyed at the back of the Crown! Regular sit down corporate lunches run like a well-oiled machine, while an evening’s birthday party with ice packed buckets of prosecco and canapés always go down a storm. Speak to our bar staff or our chef for inspiration for your event, we can even create a signature cocktail to make the night that extra bit personal.


Holland Park’s best kept secret, this completely separate room is located in the foundations of the building and was created for late night naughtiness. Our oldest regulars tell of the days it was used by the mafia as an illegal gambling room. The roulette tables may have long departed, but the sense of late night frivolity has very much remained. Perfect for a gathering of up to 60, with heaps of ambience, plenty of seating, and our resident Freddie’s artistic flair in abundance. – What happens in the cellar, stays in the cellar…

Let’s face it, a sit down meal can be too formal an affair and get in the way of a good catch up. Realistically at a dinner you’re only going to properly converse with the person on your direct right and left.
 Canapés are simply the ideal accompaniment for the socially indulgent. However, we firmly believe that shouldn’t be at the detriment to either the range of choice, or the quality of the produce.  Our selection has tried to give a freedom of choice for lovers of sea, land and soil. However, if you have any suggestions, a weeks’ notice is required for us to re-write a more personalised menu for you.
